Meet The Team

Bria

Owner, Instructor

In July 2017, Bria was looking for fitness classes where she could dance, have fun, meet new friends, and get a great workout in her beloved neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. In November 2017, two weeks after her 25th birthday, she opened DanceFit Chestnut Hill to fill that void. As a recording artist, Bria has been seen and heard on MTV, VH1, Fox, TVOne and more. Combining her performance career, a bachelor of arts in Media Business & Entrepreneurship from Temple University, multiple fitness instructor licenses, and a 14-year background in cheer & dance, she is ecstatic about sharing her love for music, dance, fitness, and fun.

Lauren

Instructor

Inspired by artists like Madonna and Janet Jackson, Lauren has been studying music, musical theatre, and dance choreography since youth. As an adult, Lauren faced the challenges of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and struggled with her own weight management, which eventually led her to develop a new love of fitness. As dance fitness became her new healthy "addiction," she became licensed as a certified Zumba and group fitness instructor. Now her happiest and in the best shape of her life, Lauren’s goal is to provide a workout that her students not only get results but one that they truly enjoy and cannot wait to attend.

Katie

Instructor

Katie Cohen is a professional dancer from Worcester, MA. Katie graduated with a BFA in Dance in 2016 from the University of The Arts in Philly. Katie had the privilege of working with many talented artists such as Roni Koresh, Tommie Waheed, Kim Bailey-Bears, Curt Haworth and many more. Since graduation Katie traveled to Cape Cod where she went through a 200 hour training to obtain her yoga certification with Yoga Alliance. This year Katie is honored to have started rehearsing with ArcheDream for HumanKind! Katie is currently based in Philadelphia where she teaches for various studios and creates her own choreographic work. She is beyond excited to join the DanceFit family this year!

Ryan

Instructor

Ryan is an actor, singer, dancer, and dog walker in the Philadelphia area, and is extremely passionate about music as well as choreography. His primary studies of dance include jazz, contemporary, musical theater, commercial hip-hop and Latin. From a young age he found inspiration from female pop and R&B artists like Britney Spears, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson and The Pussycat Dolls. Using that inspiration today, while treating his clients like they are a part of one big music video, gives his classes a unique feel. Ryan has been teaching dance fitness classes for about three years, and is constantly looking for new ways to incorporate attitude into high-energy choreography. He is excited to bring this flavor to DanceFit Chestnut Hill and encourages all ages and body types to give it a try!

Now a Philadelphia resident, Jen is excited to further spread the spirit of YBB and cannot wait for this city to fall in love with it just as much as she has.
